Chess Camp for Beginners
If your child has never played chess or has been introduced to the game and is not certain how each piece moves, our Summer Chess Camp for Beginners is the perfect place to start.
By the completion of Summer Chess Camp, your child will confidently know about the chessboard - how to coordinate the squares through the files and ranks, the names of the pieces, how they move and their value. This knowledge prepares your child to learn strategy and play online which is presented in Course 1.
Chess for Beginners, like all of our camps, takes a holistic approach to improve your daughter’s confidence and critical thinking through chess. We’re here to help facilitate her making smart moves on and off the board.
